Why am I asked to confirm my identity?

We take account security seriously, and if we detect any unusual activities associated with an account, we will ask the account owner to confirm his/her identity. Please follow the instructions in the email from copit to ensure your account's security.

If you are prompted to confirm your identity in the copit web app or associated apps if applicable, but did not receive a notice or email, please reach out to us ASAP for additional assistance.

What is copit?

copit is a specialty platform for curated luxury, specialized in leather items and beyond. In addition to iconic brands of the past and present (e.g. Gucci, Rick Owens), copit also empower brands of the future through our material know-how and sourcing and production.

How does copit work?

Consignors and Sellers can list their items on our platform, and buyers can browse and purchase through us or directly from Sellers. For high value items, such as bags, shoes, and outerwear, we verify authenticity before approving listing(s) or shipping the item(s) to you. Consigned items and ReLIFE items are pre-authenticated and shipped directly from our trusted partners or facilities.

How do I contact you?

Our support line is available 24/7 even during our sleep, to assist our most valued customers. Please submit a support ticket in the contact form.

To ensure the safety of copit’s employees and our users, please do not try to access our facilities in person to your case. Your account might be terminated.

Does copit have a phone support?

At the moment, we do not offer phone support, but you can easily reach us by submitting a support ticket in the contact form.

What is the Assurance of Authenticity?

Copit take pride in being the most reliable platform for luxury leather goods and beyond. On our platform, we only offer and allow authentic, high-quality, and sustainable products from pre-vetted sources, including top boutiques and wholesalers, consignors, and brand partners worldwide.

For consigned items and ReLife items that are pre-authenticated, we'll offer a full refund if the item(s) are found to be inauthentic or not as described. If you encounter issues with your purchase(s), please contact us and we'll sort things out ASAP in accordance with our Buyer Protection.

How am I sure if the items sold through copit are authentic?

To ensure that you receive only the best and authentic products, our team employs various verification measures such as digital authentication, in-hand inspection, and machine learning technology. We have gathered a wealth of data points on all our products to evaluate their authenticity and quality, and our authentication specialists receive mandatory training to inspect every detail, from the material to the labels, stitches, textures, fonts, colors, and more.

If we discover the item(s) that you've purchased are indeed inauthentic or not as described, we'll recall them and provide a full refund.

Does copit comply with EU/UK marketplace laws?

Copit is considered the "deemed supplier" for VAT purposes for certain cross-border "business to consumer" (B2C) transactions between buyers and sellers in the EU and UK. As the supplier of goods to the buyer, copit is responsible for collecting, reporting, and remitting VAT to the relevant tax authorities for all applicable purchases made by EU or UK buyers.

Does Brexit affect business with copit for EU/UK buyers and sellers?

Due to Brexit, sales between UK and EU regions are now considered imports and exports. There will be additional charges such as customs duties and courier charges, along with import VAT. Depending on the location, VAT-registered sellers may be required to include VAT in their listing prices. copit charges import VAT, duties, and applicable fees at checkout for transactions between UK and EU regions.

How do I sell as a VAT-registered/non-VAT registered seller in the EU/UK?

As a VAT-registered business owner or seller, contact tax-info@copit.ca with your VAT ID and the email/username linked to your copit account. copit will operate on a buy/sell model, and you must invoice copit for all sales. You must email your invoices to tax-invoices@copit.ca monthly. For non-VAT registered sellers and regular consignors, copit will collect and report VAT to relevant tax authorities. Self-assess and monitor your turnover for VAT compliance. Please consult a tax professional for more information.

When do I need to be VAT-registered in the EU/UK? Consult with a tax professional to determine if you meet VAT registration requirements, as each EU country has specific turnover thresholds. The UK requires VAT registration once taxable turnover exceeds £85,000.

Invoicing guidelines for VAT-registered business owners and sellers, kindly invoice copit for all your sales, including consignments or ReLIFE consignment, and email your monthly invoices to tax-invoices@copit.ca. Your invoice should reflect that month’s total earnings. Failure to provide timely invoices may result in suspension or removal from copit platforms. copit Group is not a tax consultant, so please consult a tax professional for specific invoice questions.

Netherlands VAT-Registered Sellers

Please price your products inclusive of VAT, as it is your obligation to collect and remit VAT on sales to copit under the buy/sell model. The following information is required on each invoice:

Upon receipt, copit will need to self-assess the VAT and report it to the relevant tax authority. The following information is required on each invoice:

  • Unique sequential number identifying the invoice

What is Guest Checkout?

Guest Checkout allows everyone to purchase on copit.ca without registering for an Account.

What Payment methods offered for Guests?

We offer the same payment methods as for our standard accounts.

Can I track an order placed through Guest Checkout?

After purchase, customer(s) will receive a confirmation email sent to the email address provided during checkout. Then, once the item(s) have shipped, customer(s) will receive a second email that contains a link to track your package progress.

While most concerns could be resolved by telling us, but to simplify, it’s best to create an Account linked to your purchase(s).

With Guest Checkout, can I create an account and return my purchase?

Yes, after completing your purchase, you can create a copit account on the order confirmation page to manage and track your order. If you create an account later, contact our support ticket to ensure your guest purchase can be viewed and managed.

Guest purchases are like regular purchases, we still accept returns on most items in the same condition that have been shipped to you. However, we do not accept returns or exchanges or refunds on any items stated as "Final Sale" (e.g., Custom, Personalized, Sample, Pre-Release).

In our sole discretion, copit may not issue refunds, or accept returns and exchanges for any purchases shipped to freight forwarders and then returned to us from different addresses, especially addresses in a different country from orders’ submitted information. All purchases of such items are FINAL SALE. Like all other users, Guests have 3 days to request a replacement or a return from the date you received the item(s).
